WaterLog
Document water damage evidence the right way — in under 4 minutes.
Your pipe just burst. Your basement is flooding. Your insurance company is going to want evidence. WaterLog tells you exactly what to photograph, captures it with timestamps and GPS, and packages everything into an evidence report ready for your insurer.
No account. No setup. No internet required. Just open the app and start documenting.
How It Works
1. Tell the app what happened Choose from five damage types: burst pipe, appliance failure, storm flooding, sewer backup, or unknown source.
2. Follow the guided checklist Each step tells you exactly what to capture and explains why your insurer needs it. Different damage types get different checklists — a burst pipe needs different evidence than a flooded basement.
3. Capture everything Snap photos (automatically tagged with timestamps and GPS), record voice notes when your hands are wet, or type quick text notes.
4. Export your evidence pack Generate a PDF report or a ZIP bundle with full-resolution photos, audio files, and structured metadata. Share via iCloud Drive, email, AirDrop, or any app on your phone.
Common Questions
How long does it take? The full guided capture flow takes about 4 minutes, assuming you’re ready to photograph. You can pause anytime and come back later — your progress is saved automatically.
Do I need to create an account? No. There is no account, no login, no sign-up. Open the app and start documenting immediately.
Does it work offline? Yes. Everything runs locally on your device. No internet connection is ever required.
Where is my data stored? All photos, voice notes, and incident data are stored on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to any server. When you export, you choose where the files go.
What if I get interrupted? Your progress saves automatically. Close the app, deal with the plumber, and come back later. Everything will be exactly where you left it.
Can I document multiple incidents? Yes. Each incident is saved separately. Document a kitchen leak on Monday and a basement issue on Thursday — both stay accessible on your home screen.
What’s in the PDF report? The PDF includes every photo you captured with its timestamp, GPS coordinates, and any notes you added. It also identifies which steps you completed and which you skipped, giving your insurer a complete picture.
What’s in the ZIP bundle? The ZIP includes all photos at full resolution, all voice recordings as audio files, and a structured metadata file that an adjuster or public adjuster can use to process your claim.
What if I deny camera or microphone access? The app still works. You can add text notes without the camera or microphone. You can grant permissions later in your iPhone’s Settings.
Why Documentation Matters
A significant percentage of water damage claims face pushback due to insufficient evidence. Insurers need proof that the damage was sudden and accidental — not the result of long-term neglect. The right photos, taken at the right time, with the right metadata, can be the difference between approval and denial.
WaterLog helps you capture that proof while it still exists.
