AI Chat Anchor - Privacy Policy

Overview
AI Chat Anchor is a browser extension that lets you bookmark responses in AI chat conversations. Your privacy is simple: everything stays on your device. We don’t collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data.
What data is stored
The extension stores the following information locally in your browser:
Pin ID (randomly generated identifier)
Chat URL (the conversation you pinned from)
Pin number (auto-incremented per conversation)
Optional label (text you add to describe the pin)
DOM selector (used to scroll back to the pinned response)
Timestamp (when you created the pin)
This data is stored using your browser’s local storage API (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device.
What data is NOT collected
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
The content of AI responses
Your prompts or conversations
Personal information (name, email, etc.)
Browsing history
Analytics or usage data
Any data to external servers
Third-party services
AI Chat Anchor does not use any third-party services, analytics, tracking, or external APIs. The extension works entirely offline after installation.
Data sharing
We do not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties. There is no data to share because we don’t collect any.
Data retention
Your pins are stored locally until you delete them or uninstall the extension. You can export your pins as a JSON file for backup and import them later.
Your control
You have complete control over your data:
Delete individual pins anytime from the extension pop-up
Export all pins as a JSON backup file
Clear all data by uninstalling the extension
Your data is never accessible to us or anyone else
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
