Hello!
I’m not normally a big weekend poster, but I found this new technology to be super interesting, so I wanted to test it out and share the results.
Recently, I wrote about the potential downfall of SaaS companies due to AI. If you didn’t see it, check out this link: Is AI making SaaS obsolete?
This weekend, I stumbled upon an uptick of references for an up-and-coming platform, NotebookLM, which can generate podcasts based on bodies of text. I thought running that article through would be fun, as would seeing how it performed.
If you click play on the pod, you will find an 8-minute AI-generated podcast about the article attached.
The intros/flow/outro sounds pretty legit.
If you blaze through podcasts like I do, you might enjoy how concise they can be, but you’ll probably also realize how lacking personality the AI can be.
The platform has many exciting features, including some prompting that might be fun.
I’m hoping this isn’t the path all podcasts go, but I must admit - it was cool to have something that sounded like two people deep-diving into your writing.
Check it out, and let me know what you think!
